At the 1998 Cannabis Cup Jack Herer sat on a bale of HempFlax in the lobby of the Pax Party
Centre and lamented the fact that to most of the people there he was 'just a bud.' But, hey man,
what a bud! This book, however, is his main claim to fame --- the definitive account of the history
of cannabis suppression. In what amounts to an indictment of political chicanery in all its forms,
Herer tells it all. After reading this you'll never wonder again where the conspiracy theories
came from. Every home should have a copy. Highly Recommended.
Another one from the shelves of the Coffeehouse Culture library, this must be the definitive guide
to hashish. Perhaps not as lush to browse as Laurence Cherniak's beautiful 'Great Books of
Hashish' (unfortunately not available through Amazon) but certainly a lot more detailed and
informative. Containing an excellent history, a penetrating review of hash manufacture today
and very detailed descriptions of hashmaking techniques this is a 'must have' addition to every
dope aficionado's library. The ultimate book on hash. Highly recommended.

This is the growing guide the Coffeehouse Culture gardening team used when they had a
production facility in the UK. It was a constant source of reference and never let them down.
A little heavy on the electrics and a little vague on the techniques, it remains one of the most
popular grow books. You need, however, to be on top of all the factors.
And this is the one everyone else used. Better on the newer technology like EC meters and
what they should say. Some swear by one author and some by the other. Whichever guide
you buy, you will certainly get enough information to grow plants of which to be proud. Franks
seems to have a slightly more organic approach than Rosenthal.

And this is the other one people seem to use. Not much I can tell you about it except that I have
seen many people buy copies in shops in Amsterdam. If you thinking of growing some plants a
grow book is a crucial investment but nothing will spare you the toil, tribulations and worries or
be any substitute for a totally committed and caring approach to your plants.
The teller of tales tells his. Very easy and fun to read with lots of outrageous dope tales and
visionary scams. Everyone who was a smoker in the UK in the 1960s and 70s owes Mr. Marks
a debt of gratitude; we all smoked his dope. The boyo from the valleys made it to the heights
of decadence and elegant self-indulgence on a wing and a prayer (plus a hell of a lot of cunning,
intelligence and bald-faced blagging). Not as famous as Tom Jones but a lot more fun, Mr
Marks is the Welshman we love to love.
