The Mayans Ain't Sayin'
Who were the Mayans and where did they go? For 2000 years Mayan culture dominated South American life. Then, almost over night, the Mayans disappeared. But not without a trace. They left us their monumental mountain-top cities of wide avenues, massive temples and towering pyramids richly carved with hieroglyphs that are only now revealing their secrets. A prosperous culture, as rich in esoteric knowledge as in gold, what lead the Mayans to abandon their great cities, forsake all their knowledge and leave behind their mysterious legacy? Coffeehouse Culture has some answers that are even stranger than the questions. Prepare to be astounded. Visions of St. Diana? The mists are clearing. An old man sits scrying before a shimmering bowl of water. His face is lit by the light of the future. The images he sees are confused and confusing. Who are the pig men and what does the name Hister mean? Where is the Great New City where fire rains from the sky? What catastrophe will occur in Paris in 1997? The old man is Nostradamus and as it is the 15th century he does not know that the pig men are fighter pilots wearing oxygen masks. He merely writes down his visions as best he can. For 500 years the visions of Nostradamus have given the world something to think about, puzzle over and, occasionally, marvel at. Now Coffeehouse Culture looks again at Nostradamus and what he had to say about the times we are living in and the future that is about to hit us in the face. South Specific Did they know what they were saying? Those arbiters of 20th century philosophy, Rogers and Hammerstein, when they wrote: 'You've got to have a dream. If you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?' We all have hopes, dreams, desires, aspirations and ambitions and life is merely an initiative test under adverse conditions in which we are supposed to achieve them all. Fat chance, do we hear you say? Dead right, we have to respond. But that is not the way it should be. And, indeed, if you have the 'latin' it is not the way it is. Despite what anyone may think it is possible to achieve even the most unlikely of your desires. There are techniques and, what is more, they work. It is just a matter of . . . . Well, reading Coffeehouse Culture's 'Good Getting' guide. And the world will be your oyster. Yuk! Not So Simple Simon Time traveller extraordinaire or the man the pension companies refused to cover? Simon Magus is said to have perfected the alchemical art, to have created the legendary Philosophers Stone that turns lead into gold and grants eternal life. And turn almost any page of history and he (or one of his many aliases) seems to be around to make a guest appearance. At Christ's right hand in the year dot, founding the Gnostics in the 3rd century, hobnobbing with the Spanish Inquisition in the 13th century, with Madame de Pompadour in the 1700s and with the literary Victorian Bloomsbury Group in the 1800s, he certainly got around. Was he the original Magus of black magic fame, the legendary Wandering Jew, the possessor of the fabled Sacred Key of Abramelin the Mage or was he just a lot of different people all with the same name? In Coffeehouse Culture's ageist exposé we uncover the myths within the mystery. Mess With The Stress Stress, and we can't stress this enough, KILLS! It kills bodies and lives. It replaces love with hatred, joy with anger and hope with despair. It kills. But what can you do about it? The pace of life is on the increase, the pressures of the world are multiplying and expanding, we are all in the fast lane whether we like it or not. And, unfortunately, there seems no effective way to remove stress from the system. Stress feeds on stress until our bodies or our lives go out of control and we find ourselves spinning off into oblivion. So what can we do? Well, to tell you the truth, many of us are already doing something about our levels of stress and we don't even know it. The real problem here is understanding the complicated and subtle nature of stress. However, Coffeehouse Culture has the full monty. In a startling and revelationary story, we will be taking the lid off the stress syndrome and showing it up for the Cosmic entity it is. Putting forward a completely new approach to stress and its place in the lives of individuals and in society, we will be bringing you original and groundbreaking knowledge based on our own inner researches. For the first time the truth will be told about stress. Mummy's Coming Waiting for the Mothership? Well, it may have landed. Lights in the sky? You bet. If the mysterious story of the UFO crash at Roswell in Texas intrigues you, there is an even stranger (and much more recent) one. What happened in the forest at Woodbridge in Suffolk that resulted in a 20 mile area being cordoned-off? Why were those who spoke of lights in the sky and powerful explosions silenced? What was in the ambulances that quietly left the site in the dead of night? Something happened. Something so significant that the Government representative responsible for denying UFO sightings resigned saying that he could no longer disbelieve in visitors from other galaxies. And why was a certain Guru so interested in buying the airbase near the site? Does he know something that we don't? All these questions and more will be answered in our breathtaking report. Maya Entertain You? The world as we know it is a quantum physical event. As the new science of quantum physics reveals the secrets of the universe, new perceptions regarding the nature of reality bring us face-to-face with ancient cultures. Suddenly the Hindu concept of Maya, the illusion of reality, has a new relevance. With subatomic particle accelerators demonstrating that matter only exists because of consciousness, we must consider again what reality is, what it means and how it can be changed. Such powerful knowledge has effects on every aspect of how we interface with our individual and collective realities. If you are seeking knowledge of the true nature of life so that you can be empowered to make the greatest contribution for yourself and others, Coffeehouse Culture has the facts. The Age Sage Life is a sexually transmitted disease with a 100% fatality rate. Isn't that what they say? And, just in case we haven't got the message, life gives us those little reminders. As mentally and spiritually we reach our peak, our bodies are going rapidly in the other direction. Oh, the awful inevitability of it. We all know that for each of us it is going to be a wrinkly, crinkly not very twinkly future. Maybe that is why man never stops searching for the impossible. Throughout history and into the present, the grail of eternal youth has occupied man's attention. But is it so impossible? According to new age health guru, Deepak Chopra, it is possible to hold back the ravages of time, to stop and even reverse the ageing process. And there is scientific research to prove it. So why isn't everybody jumping up and down and shouting about it? As a part of our series exploring and explaining the philosophy and techniques of the amazing Mr Chopra, we'll be telling all. Eternal youth? Well, that might take a little longer. |
