THERE'S A MUSE LOOSE ABOUT THIS 'HOOSE'

SANDY HUGHES
Aquarian Astrologer, Metaphysician
& Wyrrd Womyn

Sandy Hughes, Coffeehouse Culture’s newly appointed Astrology Consultant and Metaphysical Commissioning Editor, is a new age visionary, mystic, metaphysician, teacher, counsellor and communicator. A well-known and successful astrologer with a worldwide clientele, Ms Hughes runs a popular astrology web site (Soulscopes), the best new age site we have seen on the web (Aquarian Zone), a site for vegetarians (Ms Veggie's Patch) and is the founder and webmistress of the Astrology’s Wisdom Web Ring. Her personal tribute to the art of listening can be found at zenwwweb.
... With more than 20 years experience as an astrologer, in 1982 Sandy Hughes co-founded Universal Search, the Main-land BC branch of the Fraternity for Canadian Astrologers and served as president for its first three years. In 1985 she organised the FCA's first national astrology conference, Northern Lights, and has organised a number of conferences and symposia since. A penetrating and erudite writer, Ms Hughes has been published in a number of astrology anthologies and has run telephone astrology sessions on both radio and TV. She is an acknowledged expert on the planet Chiron and a self-confessed ‘asteroid buff.’ Propounding a practical philosophy of consciousness expansion, self-knowledge and personal evolution through a ‘handson’ attitude to life, in the guise of the Wyrrd Womyn, Ms Hughes represents a new voice of feminism and is an original thinker who has a fund of insights and wise words to contribute to this developing culture. Sandy Hughes lives a transatlantic lifestyle, spending her time in Vancouver, Canada and Amsterdam. Asked if she had a wise message to pass on to Coffeehouse Culture readers, Ms Hughes said: ‘Listen to the silence. All sounds are there. They are written on the laughter of the Cosmos.’ Pardon. Coffeehouse Culture is proud and honoured to welcome Sandy Hughes to the editorial staff (such as it is.)
